About our bathroom renovations work
The plumbing in a bathroom renovation is decided long before anything looks like a bathroom. Where the shower waste sits, how far the toilet is from the wall, whether the vanity is wall-hung or floor-mounted, and where the mixer sits all have to be set at rough-in stage, because moving them afterwards means opening the wall again.
Getting involved early is worth far more than it costs. A short conversation over the plan will pick up the fixture that cannot be fitted where it is drawn, the waste that cannot fall the right way, or the tapware that will not suit the pressure at the property.
We do the plumbing. Waterproofing, tiling, electrical and building work are separate licensed trades, and we coordinate with whoever you have engaged so the sequence works and nobody is waiting on anybody.

How iPlumb Gold Coast approaches the job
We look at the plan and the existing plumbing together, and flag anything that will cause a problem before demolition starts.
We disconnect and remove existing fixtures where that falls to the plumber, working in with the demolition schedule.
We complete the water and waste rough-in to the agreed layout, ready for waterproofing and tiling.
Once the room is tiled, we return to install the toilet, basin, bath, shower fittings and tapware, and test everything.
We provide the plumbing documentation required for the work we have carried out.

Why it pays to sort it early
Plumbing decisions are the hardest ones to reverse in a bathroom renovation. Every other finish can be changed later; a waste in the wrong place means the floor comes up again. Booking the plumber in at the planning stage costs nothing and avoids exactly that.

Do you manage the whole bathroom renovation?
No. We handle the plumbing scope — planning, rough-in and fixture installation. Building, waterproofing, tiling and electrical work are carried out by their own licensed trades, and we work in with them.
When should I bring a plumber into the project?
At the planning stage, before fixtures are ordered. That is when a plumber can save you money rather than just carry out the work.
Can I move the toilet or shower to a different wall?
Often yes, but it depends on where the existing waste lines run and what falls can be achieved. We can look at it and tell you what is realistic.
Can I supply my own fixtures and tapware?
Yes. We will check that what you have chosen suits your water pressure and the layout before it goes in.
How long does the plumbing take?
It comes in two stages — rough-in, then fit-off once tiling is done — with the rest of the renovation in between. We schedule around the other trades so the job keeps moving.
